Many are turned off by kratom’s bitter taste, or sometimes just like to shake their regular routine up. That’s precisely how it was decided that taffy and kratom may go hand in hand, and the result was a chewy candy that does a great job at masking the taste! It’s also a convenient, sweet treat when on the go!
Our kratom taffy contains approximately 18mg per piece. For many, less is more when it comes to the herb, so trying half a piece is a good idea before trying a full candy. You may enjoy up to two pieces per day.
Let’s Talk Taffy, How Is It Made & What Are Its Origins?
The ooey-gooey is so tasty taffy candy is thought to have originated in 1883. It is said that candy store owner David Bradley lost his taffy supply when a massive storm hit the Atlantic City boardwalk. As he cleaned up the shop, which was full of seawater, a young girl asked Bradley if he had any taffy left and he purportedly told the girl that she could “help herself to some salt water taffy.”
In the 19th Century, taffy pulling parties were a popular affair, and people gathered with buttered up hands in order to “pull” the sticky substance. It’s an old-fashioned candy that just never went out of style, and the taffy we source is proudly hand pulled, just like the old days. On an interesting note, saltwater taffy did indeed previously incorporate actual saltwater, but now it’s said that even if it’s labeled as such, no taffy actually has saltwater in it today.
Taste & Flavors
With several different flavors of our kratom infused taffy, there is surely one to please even the pickiest of consumers. While some who are more sensitive to yellow vein kratom’s taste may still taste it a bit, it truly does a great job of masking the botanical’s bitter flavor.
